Ahead of the latest instalment in the FIFA game series dropping, EA SPORTS celebrated by hosting a mad launch party for FIFA20.
The event brought together ballers from all walks of life, from ex-players like Ian Wright and current professionals including Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jadon Sancho, to footballing influencers like The F2 Freestylers.
With pop-ups set up for just about everything imaginable – like a barbers, 5-a-side pitch and, of course, gaming stations – the atmosphere was buzzing.
One of the main focuses of the day was around FIFA’s new mode, VOLTA FOOTBALL: a street football concept which pays homage to the old FIFA Street series in a modern twist.
In celebration of VOLTA FOOTBALL, EA held an indoor, international tournament to showcase players’ mad skills in a street football setting.
The tournament was hosted by BBC presenter, Craig Mitch, and supported by celebrity guests. After some epic balling from all 15 international teams, the Rio Squad came out on top, picking up the trophy from Brazilian ICON Kaká.
FIFA20 is available to buy now, and if the World Premiere is anything to go by, it promises to be another cracker.
