Now, you can wear all of your favorite players' kits at once (sort of)

Designer Mark Johnson has teamed up with Art of Football to bring to life some of football's most iconic numbers and shirts.

In a beautiful connection between art and footballing history comes Mark Johnson’s new project, which incorporates famous shirt patterns with their typographic numbers. Each one pays a tribute to some of the best to have ever put on a shirt, all at once. The designs, which can all be seen on Art of Football’s marketplace in prints, tees, and sweatshirts, cover everything from (Brazilian) Ronaldo’s number 9 to Liverpool’s number 7 to Nottingham Forest’s number 3 — and are all in Johnson’s signature style, the paper rip. Says Johnson: “After creating a project combining different home and away shirts from different clubs, I decided to incorporate famous shirts and their typographic numbers from different years.“I originally started off with the England 10 and Holland 14, which got a lot of good feedback across social I decided to design more. Then the guys at Art of Football got in touch about collaborating.”

Since, he’s also added Arsenal #10, Newcastle #9, Roma #10, CR7, Barcelona #10, and Manchester United #7 so far. Currently, both Ronaldos (9 and 7) are the only two non-clubs to be featured. As for what shirt, number, design we’ll see next? “Who knows,” says Johnson. “We are always open to suggestions.”Follow Art of Football and Johnson on Instagram to see more — and even drop him a message to let him know what you want to see next.
