These are the sickest kits that dropped this week.
PROVIDENCE CITY FC
Rhode Island’s Providence City FC might be an amateur club, playing in the Bay State Soccer League, but their new “Ocean State Jersey” from them, Joma Sport, and lowsocks creative is anything but amateur. From the ocean blue background to the dropped anchor to the wavy design on the left sleeve, it truly encapsulates the Rhode Island vibe. The thin double-white lines and their already incredible skull-and-crossbones crest are just icing on the cake.
Chivas’ new third kit brings a whole new meaning to “for club and country.”Adding to the club’s traditional red and white, a predominantly green kit — in a very unique striped pattern — using red and white applications on the sleeves and colors pays homage to Mexico. #HazPatriaRojiblanca, the slogan associated with the release (and engraved inside its collar), translates to 'Make The Homeland Red & White.'
“Sorry for the faux pas,” writes Tens Club Captain Lucas Shanks, “but we waited until after Labor Day to drop our all-white club kits.”The Tens Club and Nike “Home Whites” kit is predominantly white with thin black pinstripes running down the front and all round the sleeves, with a giant white “10” patch on the back. Plus, as post-Labor Day fall weather descends upon us, the long sleeves mean you can be faux pas-ing your way to spring. And it seems to look just as good with shorts as with thigh-high boots, so pick your poison with this one.
Speaking of pinstripes, German club Köln’s fifth — yes, you read that right — release of the season is this clean kit. Unfortunately they didn’t actually wear these kits yesterday for their first European outing in 20 years, as it would’ve caused a clash with Arsenal’s red home kits. But maybe, like fans, Köln could’ve just worn the Arsenal kits?
