Last week Charlton Athletic captain Johnnie Jackson hand delivered season tickets to fans in Del Boy Trotter's van as part of the club's #PlayerPledge initiative. For every 100 season tickets sold between now and the start of the season a member of the first team will undergo a dare or forfeit to reward the fans for their support.
After completing his challenge, Jackson called out last season's Player of the Year Jordan Cousins to get his legs waxed when another 100 season tickets had been sold. That target has been reached and Jordan has fulfilled his end of the bargain by undergoing a painful trip to the beauticians! Check out the hilarious video here! It's a brilliant idea from Charlton Athletic, particularly as it comes at a time when players seem to be ever more distant and detached from their fans. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and it would be great to see more clubs adopt this initiative for the coming season. Charlton Athletic season tickets start from just £9 per home game, so go to www.cafc.co.uk to not miss out. Want to see what happens when Johnnie Jackson hits the road in a three wheeled van?
