Superclásico Sunday: The Biggest Games In Paraguay & Argentina

Four teams, two Superclásico's, one day. This Sunday, both the Paraguayan and Argentinian Superclásico's both take place. First up at 9:30pm is Paraguay's Olimpia and Cerro Porteño Superclásico. Then we head to Argentina for arguably the most notorious and biggest derby in world football between Boca Juniors and River Plate at 10:15pm. Put your seat belts on and brace yourselves...this is going to be special.

We start Superclasico Sunday with the two most successful and popular teams in Paraguay. With both teams fighting at the top end of the Apertua they're always competitive games. Cerro Porteno go into this game at the top of the Paraguayan league with a rather large 12 point lead over their rivals Olimpia, currently sitting in 4th. Whatever happens it's sure to be a spectacle...

What more can we say about this derby that hasn't already been said? It's quite simply the biggest derby in South America and one of the biggest in world football. The history of the Boca Juniors-River Plate rivalry is replete with fan violence, player violence, and everything in between. This weekend's clash is the first of three between the two sides in the next two weeks, so keep an eye on them all! This weekend it's a league match, and both clubs are joint top of the league on 24 points... as if there wasn't already enough to play for!
